Where can I sell gently used Mini Boden clothing?

Kids grow so fast!

Many of their cute outfits were only worn a few times, so I’m looking to sell some gently used children’s clothes—especially Mini Boden, which tends to sell really well when the price is fair and the style is cute!

I’ve been cross-posting items on Mercari, Poshmark, eBay, and Shopify, and I’ve had the most success with Mercari so far.

1. Mercari

📦 My Mercari Shop:
https://www.mercari.com/mypage/listings/active/

🎁 $10 Off Invitation Link:
https://merc.li/AGSjCFb
You’ll get $10 off your first order, and I’ll receive a $10 credit too—win-win!

💰 Fees:

    • Selling Fee:
Mercari takes a 10% commission on the total sale price, which includes both the item price and the shipping cost if the buyer pays for shipping.

    • Payment Processing Fee:
An additional 2.9% + $0.30 is charged per transaction for payment processing.

🔍 Tip: If you choose the "Ship on your own" option, Mercari still includes the shipping cost in the total when calculating their commission—something to keep in mind when pricing your items.

🚚 Shipping Options:

  • USPS First Class: 4oz $4.39 | 8oz $4.39 | 1lb $7.29

  • FedEx SmartPost (up to 2lb)/UPS Ground Saver: $8.29

  • You can also choose to ship on your own, but note:

    • You may get a better rate using PayPal Ship Label

    • However, Mercari will still charge their selling fee on the shipping cost if you go this route

Pros:

  • Low selling costs

  • Great for small items like kids' clothes

  • Fast sales—this is where I’ve made the most sales!

Cons:

  • The search feature isn’t very strong, so it can be hard for buyers to find specific items.

  • Partial refunds are not allowed

2. Poshmark

🎉 $10 Off New User Code:

Pros:

    • Strong Search Feature:
The search function is quite effective, making it easier for buyers to discover specific items and brands.

    • Bundle Purchase Option:
Buyers can bundle multiple items from the same seller, which helps you move more inventory and encourages larger orders.

    • Seller Protection:
Poshmark offers solid seller protection, helping to resolve disputes fairly. It's often considered more seller-friendly compared to platforms like eBay.

    • High Traffic Platform:
Poshmark has an active and engaged user base, which increases the chances of getting your items seen and sold.

Cons:

    • High Selling Fees:
Poshmark takes a flat 20% commission on all sales over $15, which is significantly higher than many other resale platforms.

    • Expensive Shipping for Small Items:
The platform uses a flat-rate USPS Priority shipping label costing $8.27 (up to 5 lbs)—great for heavier bundles, but not ideal for single, lightweight items like a child’s T-shirt or leggings. It can make lower-priced items less appealing to buyers.

3. eBay

🌎 My eBay Store:

Great for reaching a broader audience, especially for more unique or vintage Mini Boden pieces.

4. Facebook Marketplace

I haven’t personally used Facebook Marketplace, but I know a lot of parents have had success with it—especially for local sales.

If you know of any other good platforms for selling pre-loved kids’ clothes, especially Mini Boden, I’d love to hear about them! Let’s help keep great clothes in circulation 🌱👚

Sadly, Kidizen has abruptly closed in Oct. 2024.
